The Occult Triplets
The occult triplets, Leda, Maya, and Cora, were said to be the first ranukin to discover magical abilities present in their species. They were renowned for their discoveries and for building the platform in which magical studies are presented and learned by otherkin. In the beginning, the 3 sisters worked together to build their magical empire, however somewhere down the line, after small bickering had snowballed into vicious arguments, the sisters had also built walls in between them. Particularly, Leda and Maya had somehow turned their beloved passion into a competition between each other, with Cora often acting as a mediator trying to settle the quarrels and remind them of their goals and bonds together.
At the peak of the sister's magical advancement, they had discovered a transformation that would turn them into endlessly powerful beings, kaijukin. Leda and Maya were both ready to take the plunge, however Cora was the only one to think about the negative affects the transformation could have on them, and she pleaded endlessly to sway their decisions. For a while, Cora was able to contain their ideas. However, one last argument between the 2 had sparked a full on battle royal. Both sisters took on the kaijukin forms to defeat one another, they formed into humongous and otherworldly versions of themselves, tumbling and brawling over the land destroying villages and forests, lakes of blood splashing over the hills as they tore into each other.
Suddenly, a glowing Cora flew up between them, stopping them in their tracks as blood dribbled from their mouths as they stood confused, yet ready to pounce again. Harnessing the power within Cora's soul, an enormous wave of magic blasting through the land, rippling through it like an earthquake burst from Cora. The land began to split, and the entire world was divided in two, with Leda on one side, and Maya on the other. Cora had sacrificed her entire soul to separate her sisters and save their world. "Please, do not fight..." Cora whispered before she disappeared completely.
Distraught by her sacrifice, Leda and Maya collapsed in agony. They agreed to stay on their halves of the world, and no longer cause any misery or unrest between themselves.
Despite this agreement, the two lands eventually continued to fight again, and it wasn't for many years that the fighting actually ended, as disciples of Cora's story calmed the two beasts that were Leda and Maya, and their armies, for good. Leda and Maya went into hiding within their lands, and the disciples of Cora spread their beliefs of peace onto the lands, creating stable and pleasant communities together.
